Summary of the latest safety advice for medicines and medical device users

Officers from the MHRA’s Criminal Enforcement Unit (CEU) have raided two separate premises as part of an ongoing investigation into an organised criminal network involved in the manufacture and sale of unlicensed weight loss medicines. 

Fake medicines are illegally produced products that may contain incorrect ingredients, no active ingredients, or harmful substances.

As with any medicine, the MHRA will keep the safety and effectiveness of imlunestrant tosylate under close review.

Rayner Pharmaceuticals limited have informed the MHRA that the batches listed in this notification do not include the concentration of phosphates in the product information.

A falsified version of Mounjaro (tirzepatide) KwikPen 15mg solution for injection has been found supplied through one online pharmacy in the UK. The falsified product is labelled with batch D873576 and applies to Mounjaro KwikPen 15mg solution for injection in pre-filled pen only.
